Privacy Policy

Effective August 13, 2026

Vault is developed and operated by Oddlab. This policy explains how Vault handles information when you save and open links. Vault does not require an account.

Information stored on your device

Vault stores your saved links, page metadata, optional notes, search terms, and view information locally on your device. A link and note shared from another app may be held temporarily in app-private storage until Vault imports them.

Link metadata

When you add or edit a link, Vault sends the URL to its metadata service over an encrypted connection. The service visits the public webpage to retrieve information such as its title, description, preview image, and site icon. The URL and public page metadata may be retained to provide and improve metadata results. They are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Technical information

Limited technical information, such as an IP address and device or network information, may be processed temporarily to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the metadata service. Technical logs are retained only for a short period, are not linked to your saved-link library, and are not used to track you.

External websites

When you open a saved link, the third-party website loads in Vault's in-app browser. That website handles its own data under its own privacy policy. Vault does not control the website's content or privacy practices.

Sharing and service providers

Oddlab does not sell your information. Information is processed by infrastructure providers only as necessary to operate and protect the metadata service, or when required by law. These providers are required to handle information for those purposes and protect it appropriately.

Retention and deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete a link or uninstall Vault, subject to your operating system's behavior. Public link metadata may be retained while it remains useful for operating the service. You may request removal of a submitted URL or related metadata by contacting Oddlab. Limited information may be retained where required for security or legal obligations.

Children

Vault is not directed to children under 13, and Oddlab does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Vault's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
